There are days when I really notice the ebb and flow of life in this world. Life comes and goes, flowers bloom and flowers wilt. Leaves flourish with beautiful green, and then disappear in stunning flashes of yellow and red. The sun rises and the sun sets — with it the moon and the stars. As night falls, nature changes in fantastic ways. Life goes on – looking over the city you can see the push and pull of headlights like fluorescent tides pulled by the power of the moon.
It’s a beautiful place, our Earth. Terrifying; powerful; majestic.
Today’s post is about the song appropriately titled Clair de Lune by Flight Facilities featuring Christine Hoburg.
With a steady beat and consistent synths overlaying a bass line that pushes and pulls in such a persistent fashion, Clair de Lune is the perfect song for this feeling I’m having. Clair de Lune is the type of song that you listen to on long drives at night on the freeway; the kind you listen to as the snow falls or as you observe people busying about. It’s the type of song that makes you stop and see. Frankly put, it’s beautiful.
As day turns into night, Autumn into Winter, I have a feeling that this song will remain on my playlist for many months to come.
Give it a listen here, and let me know what you think in the comments, won’t you?
